We Need Your Help

Caring for these kids is a community effort

The majority of the children that come to the ranch on a weekly basis are referrals from local foster care and mental health agencies. Unfortunately for these children the child-welfare system only provides funding for the basics, although sadly needed these activities are considered “extras” and funding is not available. The majority of these children have suffered from abandonment, physical and emotional abuse; they are amongst the most vulnerable, at-risk children in our community. These children and teens desperately need our support, love and attention. We all have the ability to serve these children and provide a positive, life changing impact in their lives

How you can make a difference

Our goal at Equine Alliance to provide our services free of charge for those in need. Your support will allow us to make a difference in the lives of these children and teens showing them new options, encouragement and direction for their lives.

As a sponsor, your continued support of Equine Alliances children invites you and or your business to be listed on our Sponsors website page including your name, business name, information and link to your website, special recognition in our newsletter including all horse shows and events. For your commitment of $100.00 a month you will also receive a beautiful engraved wood plaque in honor of your support. Showing a young person that you care is a wonderful gift and a rewarding endeavor.

The rescue of a tiny little horse with a big heart

This teeny tiny miniature horse was rescued from Wasna Valley CA. on March 5, 2008.

Suffering from Turkish Slipper Feet, mouth abscesses, lice and a sinus infection this poor little guy was in an incredible amount of pain, unable to stand or eat properly his prognosis for survival was quite grim.
With the help and support of our veterinarian Dr. Holohan, Farriers Mary Renner and Greg Sartin and many volunteers Mr. Slippers is beating the odds!

With an incredible will to survive Mr. Slippers has won the hearts of many. He is improving daily and has graduated from the quarantine pen to hanging out in the arena with his best friend Laroy bringing laughs and smiles to everyone he meets.

enjoying a sunny Easter day

Our third annual Easter egg hunt was quite a success!

Over 70 children and parents enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon of fun, games and prizes at the ranch.

We wish to thank volunteers Tammy Carter, Brian Thompson, Crystal Ford and Jason Mc Kenna who spent countless hours stuffing over 500 Easter eggs full of candy.

Meet the Kinship Center

The Kinship Center is a California nonprofit agency dedicated to the creation, preservation and support of foster, adoptive and relative families for children who need them. The Kinship Center has been honored nationally for their life changing outcomes for approximately 2,000 children every year. Their impact extends far beyond the children and families who receive direct services. This agency has taken a leadership role in the child welfare community and its programs have become models through-out the country. Our hat's off to special people like case manager Jennifer Hudgins of the Kinship Center of Templeton for her dedication and improving the lives of children in need.
