Transforming Youth from Risk to Opportunity
All young people have the potential to succeed in life and contribute to society, but many do not get the support they need to thrive. Nearly half of the U.S. population of youth between 10 and 18 years of age live in situations that put them at risk of not living up to their potential. Without intervention by caring adults, they must navigate complex life situations and challenges on their own, leaving them vulnerable to poor decisions that can undermine their futures.Every year the numbers of youth falling through the cracks of social service, mental health service agencies, juvenile probation, and the academic system are increasing at an alarming rate. At the same time, much-needed youth-based intervention resources and school programming have greatly decreased in our community because of fiscal constraints.
In light of these facts Equine Alliance Youth Foundation has made the commitment to meet this challenge and help disadvantaged youth move from risk to opportunity by offering four highly effective and innovative Equine Assisted Intervention Programs (EAIP) free of charge for participants and their families.
OUR Mission and Vision
Through equine
rescue, assisted youth intervention, education and outreach programs, Equine
Alliance Youth Foundation inspires underserved and at-risk youth to discover
and develop in healthy ways-cognitively, emotionally and socially. We provide youth with the tools to achieving their full potential as adults and becoming our next generation of leaders, hard workers, effective parents and engaged citizens.
Our vision is a world in which all youth succeed in life while feeling valued and respected.
